Project Management
JOB SUMMARY:
Project Managers are responsible for managing custom commercial or residential installation projects from the sales process through completion while optimizing profitability, promoting customer satisfaction, and maintaining Prime ECS’s superior reputation.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintain proactive communication between Prime ECS and all involved parties, including the client, general contractors, architect, interior/lighting designers, engineers, and consultants
Ensure timely completion and delivery of project documents to communicate wiring design, layout, aesthetic and programming requirements to field personnel, clients, and others
Manage expectations of the client, general contractors, designers, consultants, etc.
Accurately forecast and communicate project schedules and timelines
Maintain detailed and accurate task lists, timelines, and milestones for each project inside of task management software
Coordinate and conduct site walks, including site inspections throughout the construction process and upon the completion of each phase of system installation to ensure quality control
Schedule and conduct project review and status update meetings internally and externally and ensure that projects stay on schedule for timely completion
Request timely purchase of equipment and materials to ensure project remains on task
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

JOB SUMMARY:
The Technician installs residential or commercial automation systems, including AV, home theater, climate control, lighting, motorized shades/blinds, network and voice AI. Junior Technicians, in conjunction with Senior Techs and Project Managers, ensure that products are correctly installed, and best practices are followed.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Work with colleagues, contractors and clients to ensure procedures are followed, correct materials are available, project timelines are adhered to, and clients are satisfied.
Successfully execute AV install projects from rough-in phase through the finish phase including preparing the project space, running and terminating cabling, setting-up local area networks, and installing devices, hanging TVs, installing speakers, hanging shades, etc.
Follow safety practices and procedures, including job site maintenance and cleanliness procedures.
Accurately document work and report back to managers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to Read and interpret construction documentation
Maintain a standard of appearance and behavior that reflects Prime ECS’s high-level of professionalism
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Training, education or hands-on experience in the construction, electrical or AV industries.
Experience interpreting blueprints, construction plan sets and architectural drawings preferred.
Knowledge of structural basics, including drilling studs, beams, etc., and basic installation techniques, including opening sizes and device/component placement.
Familiarity with basic wire dress, including final trim lengths, labeling, etc.
Familiarity with outside service provider drops including Telco, DSS, ISP, etc.
Understanding of low-voltage and signal-flow and wired and wireless networks.
(Lead position only) Minimum of 5 years’ experience in residential electronic systems installation or service specifically with Lutron and Crestron control systems.
(Lead position only) Knowledge of residential systems integration including audio/video, lighting, shades, climate control, security, CCTV, telephone and computer networks including the ability to setup, configure, calibrate, and commission equipment after physical installation.
(Lead position only) An understanding of signal flows and control systems for distributed audio, video, and home theater systems and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
